More About BridgeIntoBridge

The story for BridgeIntoBridge begins in 2017 when Andrew Jin chose to pick up the game of Bridge. Starting with a group of 4 other kids, Andrew quickly became impassioned with the game, competing at sectionals, regionals, and even nationals as well as becoming a member of the United States Bridge Federation Junior program. However, throughout Andrew's experience with Bridge, one thing stood out to him: a lack of youth players compared with other games like Chess. So, starting in 2022, Andrew set out to solve this problem. At the Summer North American Bridge Championships in Rhode Island, he became an American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) certified Best Practices Teacher (the youngest to do so!). He went on to hold a workshop at his local township center that taught 19 young students brand new to bridge how to play and bid. In the Fall of 2022, he taught 49 kids through an online program called BridgeWhiz, sponsored by the ACBL education foundation. Most recently, on July 1, 2023, Andrew partnered with the King of Prussia Bridge club to introduce over 30 kids to the game of Bridge at the Philadelphia Regional, which received overwhelming praise from competition attendees, kids, and parents. From here, Andrew hopes to expand his program so that even more young people can experience the joy of Bridge.
